Graveyard Rats

Graveyard Rats, Robert E. Howard. Wildside Press, 2003. These are R. E. H. detective stories and I'm thankful he only wrote a few for money because these are not his strongest tales. Although they feature the robust prose and tough protagonists he's known for, these stories are . . . well, not worth reading. Howard's wonderful for what he's good at -- heroic fantasy (Conan, Solomon Kane, Bran Mak Morn, etc.) -- but only read these if you've got no other R.E.H. at hand.
