Bloodstained Oz

Bloodstained Oz, Christopher Golden & James Moore. Earthling, 2006. Limited 500. Just like other Earthling books, the signature sheet has both numbers written in for the limitation. Not sure why that bothers me, except to say that it seems unprofessional. But the book is very nice aside from my pet-peeve. And if you don't try to figure out the "logic" of the story, it's a fun and, at times, gory read. By logic, I mean the motive behind "the bad guys." There is none. There's a twister and bad creatures come from Oz and start killing people. Period. Parts were enjoyable, but the ending was slapped on. Like I said, nothing makes sense. But there is a certain charm to the onslaught and reading about the scarecrow, lion, and tin man. Once again, this could have been a novel easily, rather than barely 116 pages. The interior artwork is pretty great, too.
